Bouncer — Privacy Policy

Bouncer ("the app", "we") is a jump-rope workout tracker for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes.

Data that stays on your device

  • Workout data — jump counts, session duration, pace, calories, milestones, goals, and settings are stored in a local database on your device. If you enable the optional iCloud sync described below, your session records are also stored in your own iCloud account.
  • Health data — with your permission, the app reads heart rate, active energy (calories), VO2 max, blood oxygen (SpO2), heart rate variability (HRV/SDNN), and resting heart rate, and writes workouts to Apple Health (HealthKit). The Apple Watch app also records body temperature during a workout. Health data is never sent to us or to any third party, and we do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing. In versions before 1.1.0, if you enabled iCloud sync, your average heart rate, maximum heart rate, and calories were included in the session records stored in your own iCloud account (see below), and the watch app also synced body-temperature, VO2-max, and blood-oxygen sample timelines. Starting with version 1.1.0, none of these health values are included in iCloud-synced records, and any such values already stored there are removed the next time a session syncs.
  • Motion data — device and AirPods motion is processed on-device to count jumps and is not stored beyond the workout metrics above.

Optional iCloud sync

If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your workout sessions are stored in your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit) so your own devices stay in sync. This is not a server of ours — we have no access to your iCloud data. You can turn this off at any time.

Data collected by third-party services

  • Crash reports and analytics (Firebase Crashlytics / Analytics, Google LLC) — crash traces and anonymous usage events (e.g. which screen was opened). Not linked to your identity.
  • Purchases (RevenueCat) — RevenueCat receives your purchase events and an anonymous app-user ID to record and validate the Bouncer Pro purchase. On release builds, an AdServices attribution token may also be collected and sent to attribute Apple Search Ads installs.

Purchases

The one-time Bouncer Pro purchase is processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. It is a single, non-renewing charge — not a subscription. Manage or restore purchases via Settings → Apple ID → Purchase History, or Restore Purchases in the app.

Your choices

  • Revoke Health access: iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices.
  • Delete your data: deleting the app removes the local database; Health data can be removed in the Health app; iCloud data can be removed in iCloud settings.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
